LPT casings commodity – FE team supervisor
Job Description Summary Avio Aero is reinforcing the focus to excellence in aeronautical Low pressure turbines (LPT) and in particular on LPT casings design.
In this spirit, we are looking for a design engineer, expected to be the focal point and the supervisor of all the FE analyses performed within the LPT casings commodity for component design modifications, new engine missions, technical substantiations for new repair activities, investigations, customer support, assessment of technical nonconformances, cost-out activities. Essential Responsibilities
- Build technical knowledge expertise in LPT casings design, including interactions with other components at LPT module and engine levels.
- Be the focal of the FE group within the LPT casings design team, coordinating, supervising, checking and monitoring all the FE analyses, in line with applicable design practices and with Programs plans, through deep collaboration with the FE specialists and the hardware owners
- Be able to directly perform FE analyses when requested to support the milestones of the team
- Issue technical documents (ie drawings, reports, specifications)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical or aeronautical preferred) or High School Diploma in related field with experience in similar roles
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Long-time proven experience with FE tools, in particular Ansys both APDL and workbench, in managing complex models for linear and nonlinear analyses of mechanical components
- Experience in mechanical design
- Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

- Basic experience with CAD tools (preferred Unigraphics)
- PC Proficiency
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
